Sometimes, the real adventure begins where you thought it would end... 🌍⛵✨
This website originally started with one big dream: being able to join School at Sea.
When I first heard about School at Sea, I immediately knew that this was something I wanted to do. There was just one major challenge: I had to raise the money myself. In total, I needed around €30,000. At first, that felt almost impossible. But I decided to go for it.
Through fundraising activities, sponsorships, jobs, and the support of many amazing people, I gradually raised the amount I needed. And in the end, I made it. My dream became reality, and I was able to embark on the adventure I had worked so hard for.
That was the original purpose of this website.
So, in a way, this website has already achieved its goal.
But then something happened that I did not expect.
Before I left, I thought that School at Sea would be the adventure I had been dreaming about for years. I imagined returning home after six months at sea with a backpack full of memories and a completed chapter of my life.
It turns out I was completely wrong.
Because while I thought the adventure would end after six months, I’ve realized that the spark was only just ignited.
School at Sea showed me how big the world really is.
I visited countries I had never been to before, met people from completely different backgrounds, and learned how to be independent in ways that no classroom could ever teach.
And the best part?
It made me more curious than before...!
I want to discover more. Learn more. See more of the world. Experience different cultures. Meet new people. Take on new challenges. And most importantly, continue developing myself.
During School at Sea, I learned how much you grow when you step outside your comfort zone. The moments that felt challenging, exciting, or even a little scary often taught me the most. Those experiences made me realize that there is still so much more out there waiting to be explored.
So no, this story does not end with School at Sea.
In fact, it feels like this is only the beginning.
That’s why I’m already working towards my next dream. I’m saving money, working hard, and looking for new opportunities to make future adventures possible. I may not know exactly what that next adventure will look like yet, but I do know one thing: I want to keep exploring what the world has to offer and continue challenging myself along the way.
This website started as a place to help make my School at Sea dream come true.
Now, it has become a place where I can share my next dreams, goals, and adventures.
Because if School at Sea has taught me one thing, it’s that dreams don’t stop once you achieve one.
Sometimes, that’s exactly where the real adventure begins….
